This was a solo bottle purchased in 2003 that I paid about $80 for. So this wine has been in my 55F cellar for 20 years. Popped the cork and poured. Color here shows expect brick color at the rim. Nose is totally California Cabernet. First sip indicated a wine of breed. Exceptional balance here, nothing out of place. Superb depth to this wine. Earthy, sweet tobacco notes. Finish on this goes on and on and on! This is a totally beautiful wine and one of the best cabs I have had this year!! Well done John Kongsgaard!!

First bottle of the night to celebrate me and my fiancés anniversary. Nose is amazing on this one with lots of Raspberry jam, black Cherry, and tobacco. I could honestly live in the glass just smelling this one. On the palate it does not quite live up to the nose however still a good bit of fruit for the 22 year old bottle from Napa. Tannins well integrated but the nose out shot the taste. Still an enjoyable experience on this bottle and a nice one to have with dinner

Palooza part 2; 7/8/2021-7/10/2021 (Marco Island/Naples): This was a beautiful wine. So perfectly aged and smooth. Such a big intense nose of cedar and plums, sweet fruit, silky tannins, sweet Havana tobacco. Noticeable acid in a good way. In a perfect drinking window if you like aged cali cab. Thanks for pulling this one Mark!!
Maybe the most classic and aged nose of the evening?......right from the pnp, Jen and I went crazy......we love this! Aged berries, florals and graphite out the wazoo. Strong fruit remains, red and black with a touch of older plum in it and just great lead pencil throughout. The integration is wonderful! So hard to pick a winner from this evening of great food, wine and company.....but this is pretty nice!
Solid. Color does not betray its 21 years. Probably slightly past its peak. Nice chocolatey notes, though subtle not intense. Good acid balance. Can tell it was once really good; now just good.
