Fine Wine Service Sweden tasting the portfolio (@six hotel): Has some bitter tones from the oak, too thin, quite strict and tight at this point but sure th fruit is there for the long haul to carry all this new oak on its shoulders. I liked the 2012 and thought the 2007 was very aromatic, so would stick with those two vintages as opposed to this one.

The Grand Tour - day six (Bordeaux): Cedar and sweet tobacco over sour plum, cocoa powder and burnt coffee. On the palate it's okay with huge tannic grip, exceedingly chewy. Everything else is subsumed beneath this. Somewhere a little plummy fruit backed by cocoa powder survives the onslaught....

25% cab franc in blend really coming forward for me. lots of horse/leather. assertive tannins and acidity. by no means boring. tasted at l'ecole du vin bordeaux by the glass. at four euro, quite a steal.
