  1990 Merkelbach? Yes please! Medium gold. Nose is golden with petrol, nice red-brown spices, baked apple. Huge acid on the palate - screaming and wonderful: tangerine, lime, minerals, peach petrol. Great cut. Tart citrus, apricot, mineral finish. Classic old riesling. Thanks Jay! Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5+/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 - 17.5/20.
