Good tannins. Easy fruit with easy oak. Slight smoke which I feel is almost a burned flavor like on a good BBQ steak. Spicy finish with a good vanilla ending.

Dark crimson with very slight legs. Big jammy nose quickly gives way to stone, minerals and pencil shavings then a very pronounced rubbing alcohol. Was tight and astringent when first opened. Medium bodied with just a bit of jammy fruit followed by dark bitter chocolate. Was good washing down a steak, but drinking the remains alone it's too bitter. The alcohol from the nose also shows up at the end. Looks like others paid low 20's for this wine which is probably where the value is, not 30 price I paid at whole foods

Very robust with some oak at pop and pour. With some air, the nose shows crunchy blackberry with a red tone too. Palate doesn't seem oaky at all now. Best showing I've had from the Tahuan line up. No green. Fresh and plump fruit on the palate. Wow. Day 2, snappy and not in-Washington State-like.
