Bay Area Les Amis de Bourgogne Holiday Dinner (Aziza, San Francisco): Next to the ’99 Dauvissat Clos this was clearly outclassed. Nothing horribly wrong with it per se, and a good balanced acidity to it, just not the nuance and class of the Dauvissat. Descriptors leaned a little more strange like piney waxiness, lanolin. There was good juicy acidity tho, not really my cup o' tea tho.

Golden yellow, the wet wool nose/taste has disappeared since former bottle drank approx. 2006-Sydspissen with J & A-WT. Nice acidity, some secondary aromas, not very much fruit (as expected from Chablis). Will it develop to something more interesting?

Lila's party -- As slightly strange as the last bottle, with a burnt coppery note, over-the-hill citrus elements, some nice freshness and Chablis marzipan, but a bitter alkalinity makes this not the most fun drink.

AC's seedling party -- some nice aged Chablis elements there like a lime, honey and marzipan nose. But I found a strange alkalinity on the palate and just didn't derive a lot of pleasure from drinking this, although I wouldn't call it "flawed"

Typical developed Chalblis nose with seawater, citrus and apples, but in the mouth the wine is not balanced, and the finish is a bit watery and short.
