The "zesty" lemon is gone but enough remained along with ample acid to make this a nice companion for shrimp (sautéed in a lemon butter and garlic sauce ) and pasta. I will look for new vintages of this Sancerre.

Primes the appetite with great acidity in the form of pleasant citrus and sharp bursts of lemon zest. Good body through mid palatte and a clean finish. Paired with spring vegetable dolmas, carrot halva and avocado foam. See http://maisonmarcel.blogspot.com/ for pictures
