Not a single ounce of juicy, sweet fruit left. On the nose, it was totally oak and same can be said for the palate and finish. The rather subdued chalky tannins were still hanging around in the back. Totally dead.
Half an hour later, the oak became bitter and the wine became slightly sour. Do drink up if you have any left. I would think Aussie reds would be more enjoyable younger.

Sweet and still so fresh. Very smooth and well integrated. Purple and red fruits. medium finish. A bit one dimensional though. 91pts

Tasting from a Fox Creek Shiraz Reserve 1994-1999 vertical set.
Dark garnet with brick red hue. A little sweet on the nose.
