This wine is drinking beautifully at more than ten years of age, with incredible freshness and immediacy, placing it in the top three Barberas I have ever had, regardless of the appellation. The acidity and tannins are medium (+). The alcohol is high at (14.5%) but tastes much more subdued. It is aged in a combination of oak casks, barrique and bottle. This was an eye-opener in terms of the potential longevity of Barbera. Drink now through at least 2022.
