Bordeaux 1986 single blind tasting at Grappe, Stockholm. With Mr Carl-Jan Granqvist and Mr Johan Edström. Mature, slightly over the hill. Almost no bubbles left. Nose: figs, cloudberries. Palate: a bit short, slightly bitter. Better on the nose.

Opened with my family dinner of 3 generations. There was still a fizz from the bottle and the wine was alive. Light golden color and tiny bubbles, on the nose ripe apple and caramel and apricot notes.
The taste was balanced and good acidity carried out the taste. The fruit was a little bit behind so I guess it has passed its peak. The taste was long.
I found this wine very pleasent to drink and made despite being a bit over the top a great wow effect. Have had more intense in fruit Champagnes and for being the flagship bottle of well known Champagen house, this was a bit of disappointment.

Enjoyable with ripe yellow fruit and old champagne character.

Massor av mogna äpple, karamell, citronskal och mineral. Fint balanserad med relativt lite mousse kvar. Aningen kort
