The wine has rich, dark flavors of black cherry, blackberry, cranberry, chocolate and oriental spice that mingle with hints of smoke and toast. The soft, velvety texture and elegant structure will allow the wine to gracefully mature over time. (Varietals: 100% Pinot Noir)(ALC: 13.7 %)

The best red wine that I've tasted (to date) at "Domaine C." Rich and refined, with raspberry, vanilla and ripe plums on the nose. She seems structured enough to hold up over the next five years. Time will tell. Works with most food. Not unlike some echezeau after the turn...creamy mouthfeel..a long smooth finish. The '02 Famous is clearly worth the big premium it commands on the '02 Estate wine, which, frankly, surprised me. A treat.

Surprisingly flat with little fruit for a Famous Gate. This bottle was past its prime, though there was still the spice.
