This was outstanding. One of the best mature Ridge Zins that I've tasted (and I've had many of them). Still full-fruited and relatively robust. Just a lovely wine.

Lots of sediment: brown-salmon red. A touch strawberry, iron, dried flowers. Bitter in palate - a little blurry. Gentle and pure. Way past its prime. Nose - 3/6, Palate - 4/6, Finish - 4/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 0.5/2 = 11.5/20.

No notes taken. Lovely fully mature Ridge Zin. Nothing profound, but this is my cup of tea.

Still youthful with slight bricking at the edges. Reticent nose, black pepper. Still some blueberry fruit. A little pepper. Elegant.
