No sign of secondary fermentation here. Unfortunately, though, the wine has a synthetic cork -- had I known that, I would have drunk it years ago.* There's quite a bit of orange to the color. The nose is still floral. The mouth is light and elegant with some spiciness from Cabernet Franc fruit still apparent. In short, a wine that can still give pleasure, even if it is now in decline. Cellared since original release.
* It's really malpractice for producers not to warn on the label of a synthetic cork.

Refermentation happens. Dull, hazy, slightly cloudy appearance. Spritzy. Unappealing nose of pine tar, rotten bell peppers, swamp gas, and some sour red fruit. Shockingly nasty in the mouth, just vile. Decanting did not help. DNPIM

Spritzy. I can't decide if it is VA or CO2. Seems lighter and more hollow than previous bottles. Actually, every one has been different. The best bottle was at dinner at 360 in October. Never really settled down, so my instinct is to say it is excessively volitile rather than holding gas.

O vinho estava um pouco oxidado. Ele deveria ter sido bebido 2 anos antes

Seemed like secondary fermentation in bottle. Spritzy. Under that, a taste of cabbage and rotten peppers......really not good.
