This is a medium bodied, mid-weight wine that has a nice spot in the white wine spectrum: lighter and more versatile than the full bodied Chardonnays, but heftier and more complex than the typical light and acidic whites meant for seafood, such as Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely fragrance of white fruits such as peach and pear, complex mineral flavor, a slight nuttiness, with good structure and a nice acid balance. I would rate this wine much higher were it not for its bitter aftertaste. While I do like some bitterness in certain wines, this was too much for me.
