Gourmetklubbens femtiosjunde middag hemma hos P+H: Tema Italienskt (P+H, Södermalm): (Decanted for one and a half hour) Maturing nose showing a fruitful sweetness with hip roses and some fennel licorice in a pleasant way. Smoothing tannins on the palate with licorice coming back and with a herbal touch on the finish. Nice and pleasant, but should reward some further cellaring. (Best 2019-2029)

The second time I have had this wine recently and I really like it’s subtlety (unusual for a Barolo). Lighter weight than you would expect, but lovely aromas and flavors coming through. Still more primary and fruity. Perfect with lamb.

Drinking well now. Classic rose petal and tar although it takes some coaxing in the decanter and glass. Lots of cherry fruit. Some menthol notes on the finish. Structured, powerful and a bit brooding. Fun wine to drink. Wish we saved some to see its evolution on day 2. One bottle left which I'll try to hold for a few years.

Still young. Gasoline on the nose initially. Morphed into honey and tobacco and cherry. Would recommend holding for a few years.
