Think Chinon+Bordeaux+Cotes Du Rhone. Leafy peppery crunchy fruit with blackcurrant and raspberry notes. Excellent value - drinking beautifully now, but could age for a few years but not sure if would add anything.

Find me a better Cab Sav/Merlot blend for this price? This has a leafy Cab Sav element to it that cuts through the Southern French richness and Merlot to really sharpen up the palate without distracting from its sense of place. A touch of tangy herbs on the finish. Impressive for the price ..... this has a sense of quality wine making around it without it being all about the winemaker.

I doubt you can find a better wine for £6. Six quid. What can you get for six quid these days worth having? Nada. Rien. Zilch. In the wine world £6 usually gives you something fit to clean the drains. This, however, is packed full of character and Cab Sav Merlot goodness. Tastes more like a good Bordeaux Superior than Bordeaux does. Earthy, crunchy but at the same time has a nice roundness. Very quaffable and has a sense of terroir about it - which at this price is more than anyone can expect. good wine - but for 6 quid brilliant.

Slightly horsey; Medium depth; Strong finish; Unfortunately, the horse is the only definition
