Decent poor man's Super Tuscan (50% Cab, 30% Merlot, 12% Cab Franc, 8% Sangiovese). 50-50 as to whether I would pay $20 for it, upper trends, probably. Notes of dark cherries, the Cab predominates. This wine would be better if there was more Sangiovese, IMO. Drinking well now, see no short-term aging potential as already 5 yrs old.

Purple color dominated by cab sav. Nose is earthy with muddled dark fruit that is more eligent than jammy. This wine need time fore the palate to separate but for now its dark cherries plumbs and tobacco. Tannins are already approachable. Reasonable value. 5+12+15+7=89

James Suckling/Zachy's Super Tuscany Tasting (City Winery (Varick Street in NYC)): Much more fruit than the 3 wines tasted prior. Get some strong cherry here. Also earth, olives, maybe a bit of rock. Decent wine.
