I wish more Super Tuscan'ts were like this. Full bodied, big, and concentrated but with elegance and balance. Not overly boozy or hot, good length, and nice fuzzy tannins. Still has years ahead of it but is drinking well now.

Well made merlot, very concentrated, built for the long haul. Tannins are still young so best to let this age another 5+ years before it gets into a prime drinking spot.

Peak drinking right now. Plummy, toasted oak with some spice.

Great length and complexity. Full-bodied but elegant and seamless. Outstanding and drinking every well.

Marchesi de' Frescobaldi (Parco dei Principi, Rome): My last wine in the tasting and I must have run out of steam. Simply wrote "good tannic bite for a mostly-Merlot wine," and a score.
