  The wine offered a sweet-scented nose of cherry, cucumber, blood, pine needles, forest floor, spices and tobacco. On the palate the wine showed sweet fruit, cherry, forest berries, blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, cola, smoke, spices, some liquorice and a mild herbal spiciness, paired with medium-level acidity, medium-level well-integrated tannin, a good mouthfeel and very good length. The wine was less ripe and broad than most of its peers from Baden in 2009. Drinking this medium-bodied, balanced Pinot actually felt like strolling in a healthy forest in May. Kudos!

  this is as expected the light style - where good before dinner - this is very nice - you get a lot of fruits - red strawberries - red cherries - almost summer - nice minerality - and very good balance - this is not a top wine - but really good value for money

  A wonderful German Pinot from Baden. Light burgundy color. Delicate body of strawberries and wet mud. Very gentle spice and smoke does not overpower or prevent the fruit from expanding in middle through a long finish. Feels like a true artisanal wine crafted with terrific detail and balance. Really outstanding and highly drinkable.

On the palate the medium-bodied Pinot showed sweet red and dark berries, iron and spices, with very good length. Much better than prior vintages of this wine. Needs some time in the cellar. 89+
