Beautiful indigo color in the glass. Takes about 90 minutes to open. Initially a bit herbal on the palate. Opens to reveal sour black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, plum and a hint of mint on a medium finish. Full bodied with well integrated tannins and the slightest hint of oak on the finish.

Deep dark center, red to purple rim. Restrained, crushed blueberries and grapes, iron, a little sweetness. Some tannin and acid up front, purple, crushed grapes and damsons, tart, great length of blueberries and plum. Too young but drinking okay with food. Needs a couple more years.

A bit atypical for this winery, and somewhat different than I expected. Not surprisingly, it is still young and may not have yet settled down. Bouquet is herbal and showed tight blackberry along with some mint. The palate is balanced with moderate acidity and a an interesting mix of fruit and leather. Still identifiable as a new world cabernet, but not as full bodied as I expected.

A very good Napa Cab. Black fruit on nose and palate, full bodied, smooth.
