  • Drinking amazing right now. The color of the wine is dark like ink, the texture is thick and smooth, the nose has dark fruit and alcohol, there is juicy black cherry fruit on the start and the end of the tongue. Great with steak and chocolate.

  • Dark purple garnet colored, medium bodied this exhibited super ripe almost raisiny black fruits and high alcohol essence of bourbon nose and tastes - layers of ripe dark berries, plum and prune, accented by high acid, oak, pepper and hints of 'Rutherford dust', eucalyptus and menthol. A bit over done for my preference but engaging none-the-less.

  • Deep indigo purple in the glass. Lots of fruit on the nose and what seemed to be heavy alcohol. On the palate, plum, cassis, black raspberry and a touch of vanilla. Very fruit forward and balanced but not terribly complex. Served this first in a Freemark flight which included 1991 and 1992 Bosche as well as the 1986 Napa Cab. Pre-Christmas beef bourguignon dinner with Rick and Linda.

  • Green when opened. A bit too big and out of balance, but still a nice wine with a lot of complexity. Fun but unrefined. PDQ92

  • Great Rutherford Cab Merlot. Dark purple fading to brick at the rim. Medium legs, nose of oak, vanilla, white pepper, bell pepper, cream, butterscotch, 'rutherford dust', eucalyptus, menthol. Some spice on the initial tip of the tongue, definite pepper, rutherford terroir on the mid palate with dark berries, some plum and maybe prune, smooth drying tannins with bright acidity. Should go great with our petit filet. More to come.
