2001 Chardonnay Magnum Tasting (New Jersey): From Magnum. Notes were taken with wines blinded. Medium golden yellow, but fairly youthful looking. Smokey oak and butter on the nose. On the palate it is more complex with flint, bitter lemon, some tropical fruit and an ever so slight effervescence. Finish is a bit short and tart.

Notes of peach, melon and lechee. Soft and tangy, with a mineral streak. Very good.
