  • I do not agree with the previous note at all. Day 1 Notes:
    Scent of dark cherry, lavender, pine forest, and hints of menthol. Palate is mostly kirsch, cherries, herbal notes of rosemary. Definitely tannic with years of grip left. I'd say drink one per year for the next few years.

  • This wine seems to be already past its drinking window. Opened two bottles today (April 2017) sourced from Garagiste. The first bottle was lightly maderized (oxidized) although the cork showed no signs of seepage. The second had muted aromas, flavors were inexpressive, with generic jammy red fruits, acidity and tannins almost absent. The wine was simply "tired". Kept in controlled cellar conditions since purchase.
