Any Chateauneuf du Pape made from 100% Grenache planted in one of the best vineyards on La Crau should have it all going on, and this does for sure. Pure, liquid kirsch, garrigue, black pepper and wild raspberries are in full force. The lusciously textured, fruit filled finish hit the spot too!

Pleasant, jammy. Quite jammy. Avoid if you don't like strong flavors of red fruit.

Chevalier Fine Wines Tasting, Featuring Fine Vines Selections (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Very ripe but retains balance with moderate structure and an intense old-vine concentration. That concentration is the highlight for me here.

Rite of Spring at Chevalier Wines (Chicago, IL): Sweet and unpleasantly cloying red fruit. Alcoholic and confected to boot. No.
