  • Dark red color with some fading at the rim. Spicy, berry nose. ush on the palate, plums, cherries, raspberries, spice. Fine tannins, brisk acidity, good balance. Finishes long with candied cherries and warm spice. Nice but not great. A step down from my last bottle 3 years ago. Drink next 2 to 3 years.

  • Deep, dark red color. Still tight on the nose. Intense fruit on the palate, yet it remains bright and light on its feet. Blackberries, cherries, roast meat. Cherries and anise on the mid-palate. With a bit of air, kit becomes bright and cheerful. Firm but not overbearing tannins, bright acidity, great balance. Finishes long and subtle with sweet red fruits. This still needs another 2 or 3 years of development. Should drink well for the next 10 years.

  • More secondary notes than 10 months ago, specifically, dried strawberries and stewed fruits. Lots of minerality on the backpalate, followed by some green lemons/sour cherries, and more sandy/"Sables" chalkiness. 15.5% ABV.

  • 100% Grenache. Medium-plus-bodied with big tannins. This was the best (whilst not the most expensive) CdP I've had to date... for the first 2 hours or so, then it seemed to start breaking down. It paired perfectly with charred zucchini and vadouvan spices. 15.5% ABV (and no heat whatsoever!)
