  Ready to drink on PnP, at peak maturity. Baked plum and cherry with wonderful Gevrey spice and meaty/beefy flavors. The fruit has a nice iron streak to it as well. Drank over 2 days, tasted better on day 1 - recommend to drink in one sitting.

  Gevrey City Tasting (Zoom / Chicago): Single blind. Rich and forward aromas of ripe cherry and spice. Palate follows suit with full-body and lots of fun, juicy, round black cherry. Seemed more 02 than 99.

  Gevrey-Chambertin ("Downtown") 1er Cru Tasting (Chicagoland IL): Very complex and certainly meaty with lots of power and grace. Long, lifting finish. So good now.

  Deeply coloured.
  At first opening a crushed herbal fragrance.Opened up to clean ripe dark fruits, intense , plums and cherries, with spice and lightly earthy complexity.
  Silky yet powerful, good acidity and still with lots of fine tannins. At its peak but must have many years ahead of it. Delicious blend of spice and fruit, red and black cherries, plums and damsons. Nothing really herbal on the palate. Just pure ripe fruit definitely on the intense end of the spectrum.
