I didn’t take notes while tasting but this was fantastic. Rich animal and earthy notes along with granite and dark fruits. Beautiful now and feels like this will continue to get better.

Very good aromatics of tar with a bit of black olive and blackberry. Medium bodied with still fresh sweet/savory fruit with no hint of wood or brett. The tarry, berry fruit has a nice purity. Perfect right now for my palate. I like wine to age to a point of balance while still retaining some punch.

The recent brett comments had me a little worried, but this bottle was brett free. I gave this one plenty of air, but it was pretty reserved until the very end. There was also a lot of sediment in suspension, so stand this one up for a week before opening. While enjoyable, it feels like it’s still in hibernation. Rating withheld for now, will revisit in 2025.

Dark fruit (cherry, blueberry), spice, earth, olive, good acidity. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.
