Brick red in color. Beguiling aromas of florals and spice which give way to hoisin/soy and earth. Medium bodied palate which shows sweet and savory red fruits, rich brown sauce, medium acidity, resolved tannins and oak and a spice/floral tinged finish.

On nose initially a lot of big black fruit and Earth, more Bordeaux like than burgundy. Much bigger than I was expecting. Over time mellowed a little and showed a little age on the edges. Not a delicate style. Drink now

Ruby red with fair amount of bricking. Classic small wild red berries/cherries, forest floor, perfumed wood spice and leather on the nose. A silky palate follows through with sweet and spicy crushed red cherries/strawberries, soil tones, leather and a long perfumed finish. This is hanging on beautifully.

Medium-light 'furry' red. Rich, broad, strawberry/cherry fruit envelops the senses. Then there's a bit of oak at the finish... not harsh, but noticeable. Tannins and acidity are otherwise lightly balanced. The fruit is the thing; very fragrant and forward. Lovely wine at this point. Minimal decant; could have used more filtration, or a longer stand-up before opening (stood up 36 hours ahead of time... needed more).
