  Difficile à l’ouverture, il est resté un peu serré tout au long du repas.
  Dommage car on sentait bien son potentiel. Un beau pinot mûr et frais, sur les fruits rouges et noirs, la betterave, des épices et une belle texture puissante et fine, ample et généreuse.
  Sa réduction persistante m’a fait regretter de ne pas le boire dans 10 ans…

  A most excellent Bonnes Mares. Will rate higher than 93 in a few years.
  
  A glowing red upon opening, it is all Bonnes Mares - smokiness, spices, dark fruit with some marzipan. Beautiful body with terrific depth and complexity that can only get better - mushroom, red earth infused with notes red fruit really make it a wonderful drink. A dry finish but this will improve.
  
  About to hit its stride so you can drink now but best to leave it for another 3 years. Until 2035+.

  During an MSD Grand Cru blind tasting dinner, Pirate bottle. Young nose and color. Bright red fruit, crisp acidity and good mid mouth presence on the palate despite the lighter touch, some smoke and forest notes at the finish,. Still aromatically too closed to give a final assessment. 93+

  During a Domaine tasting, so only brief impressions. Always weary when tasting the sub par 2011 vintage. Very positive surprise. Smokey, grassy notes with red fruit, eucalyptus, spices. Structured palate. Good wine, wait till 2020. 94-95
