Wines with Val's Parents; 11/19/2011-11/25/2011 (Washington, D.C.): I drank this with Val and her parents while we were eating some appetizers. It's a really solid wine, and overdelivers for the $11 price. Aromas of lemons, stone and white flowers. The palate is fresh and very mineral-driven, but this wine is by no means austere. There's great lemon tart and tangy white peach fruit. Very balanced.

Weygandt Selections - Annual Portfolio Tasting (Astor Place - New York, NY): Incredibly fresh and focused wine with lots of fresh herbs and crushed rocks. Not overly complex, but boy is this enjoyable.
