Wildman Tasting at Peninsula (Chicago, IL): A very primary nose with a few high-toned fruit aromas and not much else under it yet. Again a very dense wine, with some blackberry notes on the palate. Tons of tannin to work through, but will the small amount of fruit on the palate last the time needed for the tannins to settle down?

Very closed down at this point and very tough to really judge. Blackberry seeds, crushed currants, graham and red fruits are there but they are buried deep. One for the back of the cellar.
