Starting to turn to an amber hue. Strawberries and cream upon opening. Complex with hints of cardamom, cinnamon, and dark chocolate with a mushroom overtone. Dry for a pinot noir and tannins are still holding up.

Earthy cherry nose, showing smoky cherries on the palate. Tannins softening after 6 years. Smooth with oak well integrated. Firm acidity leads to long finish.

Somewhst funky nose with bacon fat over cherry and red fruit. Lots of acidity. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavors of bacon, cherry, cola, and a touch of earth. Interesting wine.

Metal cap. Dark clear red, nose of toast, vanilla, and floral, balance fruits of red and dark, good depth and structure, medium finish, but could be longer with suitable food.

Spicy and hot; moves into fullness mid-palate. Short and a little fruity on the back end. Good acid. Red currants. Opened up after 2 hours. I might buy and hold for a year to see what happens. I bought one bottle on the recommendation of the store (and, hey, Kim Crawford). I will go back for more.
