Although likely past its peak, the wine still shows well, with subtle notes of tea and bright cherry perfectly balanced with moderate acidity and soft tannins.
Like most older Dehlinger wines, requires a bladed cork removal tool as a corkscrew will (did) leave a portion of the cork in the bottle. Give the wine some time in your glass or decanter for this wine to blossom -- again, like most older Dehlinger wines; your patience will be rewarded !

Simple, but perfectly mature and really, really good. Notes of black tea, forest floor and mild sassafras sit atop black cherry pinot fruit, with an easy, smooth entry, and no remaining tannins to speak of. Perfectly balanced acidity complements the fruit. A svelte feminine wine, and delicious! Drink up - not fading, but nowhere to go but seriously down.

A truly lovely, fully mature pinot noir. Some damp earth and leaves, but with a deep mature red fruit aspect, elegant and graceful, adequate acidity, tannins resolved. Picked up steam as it sat in the glass, gaining complexity and nuance. Outstanding.
