Burgundy Boozers do aged burgundy/bordeaux/cali, cult cali cab, and.. a Loring Pinot!? (Golden Truffle, Newport Beach, California): What the ridiculous!? This wine is de-freaking-licious. First, I'm glad Curry brought one wine out of 6 that wasn't spitzy, corked, or oxidized ;P. Second, if this was of any indication of how other bottles are.. it has got years to go. On the nose you get an intense sweet bright red nose and the texture of the wine is so perfectly integrated with piercing/focused candied cherry that just goes on forever on a long finish. Everything about this wine screams BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT! The single knock is that it shoes a bit of green on the backend, but what a great mix of fruit and acid.
