brilliant 14 yr old CA Pinot! Dehlinger continues to amaze me with the aging potential of their wines. This wine had an ever so slight hint of bricking at the edges, and was a touch cloudy. Upon opening, i poured straight into the glass, and it had a wonderful nose of sweet dark cherries, rose petal, and a little bit of barnyard "funk" that I don't normally associate with CA pinot but more with Burgundy. The palate was smooth, with well integrated alcohol, tannins, and fruit. It did start to die after 3 hours, and it kind of turned into a pruney mess. With that said, drink these while you have them!!

Tasting of 4 Pinots-second place. Dull beet red color with some brilliant red in the center of the glass, lovely raspberry fruit on the nose with the earthiness of a Russian River pinot noir, more of the same on the palate, medium body and medium finish.

Very bright fruit at the front of the profile and good, fresh acidity following. Delicious wine!

Drank over the course of 2 hours. Another outstanding Dehlinger. Cork looked new except for the crystalline deposits.

L'amie Donia classic Palo Alto haunt with Scott and gang -- a wonderful pinot from Dehlinger. Loaded with balanced, fruity violety goodness.
