Rather dark gold in color. Somewhat interesting floral nose of yeast and apricots. Palate is a little thin, with dusty golden fruit and a medium finish of mostly mineral and dried peach. Soft mouthfeel, really not a lot of zip or energy but pure focused fruit is there. Poor pairing on my part with salmon and given the the notes maybe a little past prime.

Lighter in color and not quite as full-bodied as I would have expected... nice crisp acidity but not overly acidic, aromas were fairly muted at first, but started to open up with some time in the glass. Nicely balanced but overall not a very impressive wine.

Domaine Faiveley tasting with Erwan Faiveley: Marvellous. This is made for drinking now rather than later - and I must confess to have fallen under the spell. a sea of pretty white flowers, nicely integrated oak flavors, some body, great balance and just the utmost pleasure. it sings in my mouth for a long time.

Light nose of violets & white flowers. Very tasty with a long finish. Crisp, welll balanced chardonay. More elegant than big.
