Tar, cherry, licorice, bitter, coffee, clove. I drank this bottle undecanted tonight with cheese ravioli, garlic bread, and asparagus. Very well made. Nose improved with time. Might improve. Might not.

No formal note, this is classic in most ways, with a tar and rose nose and a palate that is a little lighter in body but solid with both acidity and fine grained tannins. Cherry pops significantly for the dominant flavor along with some herbal notes.

Classically styled Barolo. Clean, lighter weight with wafts of roses.

Tasting a little tight. Could have used more time. Opened 3 hours before drinking then decanted.
