Colgin Dinner (RPM Seafood - Chicago IL): Nicely Vosne spiced with good weight, very good lengtg, just slightly lacking the depth of this great terroir. Still backward, but that’s Malc, so possible upside?

Still very young, IMO. A treat to try tonight, but I think it will be better in another 5-10 years. Another note mentioned stems and raspberries and I can see that. Very nice, and part of a great Saturday dinner.

Gorgeous stemmy raspberry note. Bright and dark berry fruit at the same time. Persistent finish. Still noticeable tannins and would be better in a few years.

Quite tight. Opened up a lot with time in the glass. A real purity of fruit. Dark cherries and berries. Doesn’t have the green steamy tinge that I picked up with the CDlR. Another example of why this vineyard is considered GC level by many. Will be special in 5-10 years time.

Dark Ruby with pink rim. Cherry, kirsch, meat and moss and some sandalwood/vosne spice on nose which is complex but has pretty underlying fruit. That fruit comes forward with a very moreish middle full of stuffing but balanced by a weightless but concentrated sheen coating the smooth tannins. great example of power with weightlessness. With a long finish of sour cherries, spice and minerality. Gorgeous. Perfect with slight lift from Riedel Somm.
