Popped and poured. Nice nose with lifted, airy scents of cherry and dark berry, underbrush, and Asian spice. The texture is velvety, with a clay note that I identify with Morey St. Denis. It doesn't have the green streak of most of the 2011's that I've tasted, so I'd guess '08 for the vintage if served blind. It could pass for an older wine, as it opens the more it's poured.
This wine should be a good value for 1er Nuits Burg in the auction market.

Really good wine, needs some time to open up but once it did it yields a typical pinot nose and smooth, long tannins.
