- Yellow gold color - PnP; Medium yellow color lending to gold soon, fairly restrained nose of lemon curd and flint. Nice but restrained flavors of lemon custard, limestone, and hints of tropical fruit. Lots of oak on the palate without quite enough fruit IMHO. Easy drinking, medium finish, but just not enough there besides the oak for interest.

Wow. Masses of oak on the nose made me a little nervous, but it is backed up by a significant amount of fruit and cleansed by balancing lemony acidity. At this stage I feel it is not yet fully integrated as all the parts seem to come at you separately and I can see this improving and me enjoying it more in 2+ years. The drinking window on here (to 2030) doesn’t now look overly optimistic.

Mixed WTDS at The Kenwood (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. PNP, drank a glass over 90+ minutes. Lemon, flinty, Meyer lemon zest, just a bit tropical, lanolin. The palate shows a lot of minerality, oyster shell, flint, lemon, tart apple, white citrus, oak, hint of peach, on a medium full bodied frame.

Mixed WTDS: AKA "Bring a Nice Bottle" (Tilia, Mpls): Light gold color. PNP, drank a glass over 45 minutes. Exquisite nose of Meyer lemon, orange peel, limestone, sea breeze and lovely purity. The palate carries it all forward with finesse and grace, showing medium body, oyster shell minerality and excellent balance. This was in a perfect spot and stood out as a classically restrained burg.

Kept in cold cellar since release... dark golden color, fully oxidized, acetone. Ugh!
