Purchased this magnum at a Napa tasting room in 2012 and stored properly since. This needed about 30 minutes to fully open up. Velvety plush fruits up front led into a decently balanced wine with a nice finish. This was certainly in its prime and best consumed within the next few years. I was pleasantly surprised how good this was. It started to fade somewhat around hour 3. This paired well with northern Italian cuisine.

Disclaimer: could be an off bottle - Impression: double decanted, slight brown twinge, too forward and cloying for my palate. Lacked tanninc grip and slightly musty on the finish. Purchased from online auction website in 2016 so handling by previous owner is dubious. Caveat emptor. Update 08/01/2018: Second bottle...much better than the first but did show some slight mustiness. Again, purchased from an online auction website in 2016. Becoming clear this auction lot was not handled properly by first owner. Caveat emptor.

Really enjoyed this California blend. Color is dark red. Scents are red (and a little bit black) berries. Tastes are consistent with scents, with good acidity.

Dark color and earthy aroma. Lush mouth feel with restrained tannins.
