  Popped and poured. Should have decanted. A fair amount of heat on the nose and palate, even after sitting for at least An hour. Dark rich ruby in color. Leather, tobacco on the nose. Dark fruits, really great tannin structure. I wish I had more of this, would love to taste this again in 3-5 years. This is a good wine, but I think it needs more time.

  Was too cold when we opened it since we had just removed it from the cellar due to raisiny Peter Michael Cab...Blackbird was solid but not memorable.
