Flavours consistent with previous tasting note. We both enjoyed this one even slightly more than the previous one. Paired with a confit duck gizzard salad. Drink or hold.

Sunken cork, but clean without sign of seepage. Level into neck. Some sediment.
Deep ruby colour N: damp earth and smoke.
P:While she is a fading beauty, there is plenty of interest here. The wine has a rustic finish, but most of the hard edges have been polished off. The wine has a burg-like acidity that makes it far more suited to pairing with a meal than sipping on its own. But thats still how i am drinking this first one. I have 2 more so will pair them with an osso buco or a similar dish. Has something that reminds me of a Taurasi in its structure, but the palate is different. There is a minty flavour lurking in there.
Drink or hold this is on a gentle downward slope of maturity, but will make it to 40, maybe even 50 years. 13% abv

Resolved and relaxed tannins. A bit of powdered rock and iron, fruit is faded but still clean with some sweet earth. 88-89

Tannins resolved. Fairly bright acidity. Solid wine.
