Decanted an hour before tasting, this was clearly big and ripe but also firmly structured. I decided to go in a different red Burgundy direction for the evening, took the bottle home, and re-visited several times over the next few days. The structure slowly softened along but commensurate with the fruit, so this never really reached the great balance of the best bottles. This has often been a confounding wine, but most previous bottles provided much more enjoyment.

Simon Beatty's Memorial Dinner - Table 2 - Richebourg (Noizé, London): A rare treat to try one of these. The deep red fruits are complimented by a little citrus lift, some peony and a hint of blood. Palate is powerful with some tart cherry interest and some smoke. Producer does well here with the difficult 1995 vintage.

(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes) Medium dark cherry red color; tart cherry, brett, mineral nose; very poised, tart red fruit, tart strawberry palate with good acidity, good drinking now; medium-plus finish 93+ pts.
(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes) Funky, a bit corked on nose; slight corkiness on palate, but good tart red fruit and long finish

Atlanta Musigny & Chevy Dinner: PnP. In the drinking zone and quite enjoyable. Showing a bit over on the shortish finish, time to drink up.

Holds little interest for me as it doesn't scream Musigny or deliver any pleasure. Quite aromatically muted with a hard, uncompromising palate.

Sad to say that this bottle was showing more age than fruit. Nothing of note or super compelling showed up during the 3 hours with this open.
Had I known, I wish I just sold it rather than drank it.
