Part of me wanted to let this sleep in the cellar for a bit longer, but I'm not sure about how 2011 Victorian reds will develop over time... especially late ripening varieties like these. Not to worry, this is drinking terrifically right now and doesn't need any further sleep. Aromas of cola, bright raspberries and marachisno cherries, and yes, lots of sappy, stemmy, leafy-green, kinda bonfire smoke quality to it which I actually don't mind. The palate has the weight and juiciness of a good Pinot, with great structure and powerful acidity supporting it. Terrific length. Belter of a wine. But then, it was reasonably expensive.
Hard to imagine it getting much better. In the zone I reckon.

Subtle 2011 vintage herbs and black pepper on the nose. Concentrated sweet raspberry flavours. Shorter finish than the other YY wines tasted. A good effort, given the vintage conditions.

Clearly an Iberian varietal wine. Typical pommegranite and joss stick spiciness adding complexity to the bright red fruit. One of my favourites of the YY range.
