End of the night and not a ton of notes. Darker fruits with red and black berries. Some black tea on the nose. Good spice notes as you would expect from a Riche. Very good now but no rush.

Henri Jayer & Disciples (15 USW): Youthful. The perfume is huge and dense and totally primary and takes a lot of swirling to get at the more developed and nuanced black and red fruit. Good, but given the context this is a straightforward bruiser. Drunk in isolation I’m sure this would be far more impressive, and it’s impressive now, just relatively dark and primary. Checked the tape on the last bottle of this a month or so ago and I think this was actually a better showing, notwithstanding the less than stellar commentary.

Classic Richebourg spices, cedar, spicebox. Great balance between the fruit and acid. Cherries, red berries, some black fruit and raspberries. Dont see this getting better - drink now and next 5-10. Very good now.

TCA but the palate still shows its ethereality, pureness and depth. A proper bottle should be excellent.

1996 Burgundy Retrospective - The Last Session (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner, VA): Shy red fruit, plum and cherry, caramel, ginger and tree bark. Clearly advanced, weird.
