Nice fruit with soft rich palate. Really enjoyed this syrah, there's so much smoked meat and pepper syrahs out there making this one a great change of pace.

Fortunately for me I love a not overly fruity Syrah, and this one delivered! Might be the age, but the dark fruits were fading as the smoke and spice dominated, followed by a very nice tannic bite. I enjoyed this wine, but I'm glad I did now as the minimal fruit will only diminish.

Los Olivos Tasting: Very different from previous tastings. Roasted coffee, charred meats, and bacon fat on the nose; showing much less fruit than previously. Medium+ acidity with a bit of bite. No real tannin on the finish, which leans slightly sweet, like candied bacon.

Not like other Qupe syrahs I've had recently. Rather fruit forward with raspberries and dark chocolate on the palate. Fairly juicy, and some really mild tannins on the finish. Very drinkable now.

Surprised. Usually the Qupe Syrahs are a little "meatier". This bottle was nice, but not what i'm used to.
