  Still has room for improvement. Was quite closed for the first 30 mins and first two glasses. Definitely a food wine. Could not enjoy it without in my opinion. We drank with duck confit which was beautifully paires and some sharp dressed salad. The wine was good but not remarkable. Very different style from all other 2011s I have had from the vineyards next to this one which are more open for business and more feminine and perfumed

  Clear garnet with clearing at the rim. Bouquet of black cherries, red fruit, some earthiness. Palate delivers on the nose, with great balance in acidity, fine tannins, fruit. Decent length on the finish. Good concentration of flavour, if lacking ever so slightly in depth and complexity. Nonetheless, a very refreshing and food-friendly wine.
