  • WSET Level 4 Course - WSET School; 9/6/2014-5/23/2015 (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Deep garnet colour.
    Nose: The nose is Clean and Developing, showing Pronounced intensity primary aromas of red cherry, red plum, cranberry; secondary aromas of vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, toast, smoke and tertiary aromas of leather, mushroom, meaty, sweet spice.
    Palate: The wine is Dry in the mouth with a High level of acidity. It has High Ripe/Soft tannins and a High Level of alcohol (14.50%). It has Full body and Pronounced intensity primary flavours of red cherry, red plum, cranberry; secondary flavours of vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, toast, smoke and tertiary flavours of leather, mushroom, meaty, sweet spice. The finish is Long. Ripe fruit character. Ripe chalky tannins
    Overall: Good balance between ripe fruit, acidity and tannins. Good typicity and potential to age. Intense, complex and long.
    Conclusion: It is an Outstanding quality wine. Can Drink Now but has Potential for Ageing Has structure to age. The tannins will soften and integrate more ; Premium priced (£41.99)
