Dark ruby in color, this wine (85% Sangiovese/15% Canaiolo) reveals plum, saddle leather, smoke and clove on the nose. The mouth feel is fuller bodied but with very approachable tannins. The finish brings out the plum and also adds subtle mocha undertones. 14% abv.
Purchased for $14US/375ml, this is a pleasant offering that paired well with my veal chop for dinner tonight.

Nose: cherry, prune, plum, stable, lots of spices, later also some vegetal notes Taste: medium to full bodied, medium- acidity, medium+ tannins, bleck cherry, prune, plum, chokeberry, spices, long dark chocolate finish, obviously too young I believe it can improve with time

Wine Education Service - Italy - Tuscany (Imperial College): Just opaque, youthful. A bouquet with some oak, some vegetal development and floral notes and spice. Fruity, still vey tannic, lovely chocolate notes, quite long. This youthful wine needs another three to ten years.

Red rim, dark cherry body, no sediment. Pleasant (woody?) nose, medium weight, smooth, tannin on finish, but cherry lingers. Hints of heat and tobacco. Classic Italian bitterness. Still young.

Dusty and dry through the mid-palate and rather tasty and good stuff.
