Med garnet Nose of fresh red fruit, tart cherry, plum and leather. Med+ acidity, very harsh tannins (still very young) and a little unbalanced. Flavours of cherry, tomato, tart plum, oak and leather. A little unbalanced, good length, ok complexity and good complexity. Quality wine but needs a few more years to integrate and softened. Will try again in 2023.

Browny red light colour. Nose is dusty/meaty/smoky/clove. Palette is vanilla, plum but not sweet, meaty. Medium body, very nice tannins, mellow but very present. Lovely mouthfeel. Interesting and enjoyable if not quite perfectly integrated. Could be better for my tastes in a few more years. Either way drinking well now and good value.

Earth Day. Retail $38. 95% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo Nero. On night one, this was not really all that compelling, but on night two? Much, much better. Dark fruit (a lot of plum) on the nose, plenty of spice, and black pepper. The palate is tart, with impressive acid, subtle fruit, pepper, and noticeable tannin. This is subtle, it takes time and attention to appreciate, but if you do, you will be rewarded. thedrunkencyclist.com

Rustic and classic, unyielding and austere. A style from times long gone. Not attractive or crowd pleasing, does its own thing
